You need a portable alarm system from simply safe.No hard wiring ,no drilling into walls,100 percent transferable from property to property,and they scare the heck out of squatters and thieves.You should also upgrade the door locks and window locks as well.Put alarm signs all over the front of a the property and their is a good chance no one will even approach the doors to try to break in.

The owner was an older lady and the house was unbelievably cute but the master bedroom had no closet (she used wardrobes; not unusual in these old homes) and the "second" bedroom really wasn't a bedroom at all; had no door off the kitchen, no closest, only able to hold less than a twin sized bed, and contained the washer and dryer.

I think I would make a tub perpendicular to the existing one and lose the linen closet if that is what the little door is.
