I don't recall them specifically, but these other companies deal in co-ownership of a home (or co-home), like house-hacking but with room mates that actually own a share of the home than being your tenants.Without altering the business model, what you desire could also be achieved with that co-home approach, if you look to buy more than one co-home assuming that's allowed from these companies, and whether you can afford it.

If that's the case, I would hope the jacklegs shouldn't be able to claim that the unit was somehow altered before they were given the opportunity to repair it.

So, if you bought it for more, it sells for less, or anything else in the equation alters this stands to decrease.Sounds like a powerplay could be made here IF you're wanting to move.
