There are two layers of rubber on the flat parts, but the clay shingles are specialty made and we probably won't be able to replace those.

If it's a standard 4/12 (nearly nonexistent) pitch shingle roof, it's either covered over or shingles stripped down to wood sheathing and covered with ribbed metal roofing. 

Replace shingle roof with 30 YR Architectural shingles.
