I need a GC for a property in Palm Desert.

I saw Trona, CA has inexpensive homes but it looks like a desert wasteland.

We love the desert and we wanted to invest in somewhere with great weather that had the option for short term rental and had high appreciation.

I have a house in Bend and Palm Desert area too. 

According to the Desert Sun, after a five hour long city council meeting, the final decision was made to phase out vacation rentals over a two year period.

The Palm Desert zoning restrictions probably make it impossible?

Just curious Why block home would be an issue there in the desert is it just a stigma of cheap built or something.I get offers all the time from these I buyers or wholesalers.. there is one company out of New York that will offer way higher just to get into contract and they want to wait 30 days to deposit EM etc etc.. 

As far as buy and hold goes, short term has become a hot topic in the desert.

I look at the “profit” (this means including the capital pay down) and the expected expenses are low  (this means buying slanted tile roofs, stucco siding, desert landscaping, less than 20 year old houses, in a landlocked valley where it doesn’t snow.)But at least pretend to know what they mean when they say cashflowing.
