I envision my kids taking language courses and volunteering in whichever community we buy in, all of us slowing down for a few weeks at a time to enjoy art and food and music and architecture and history...and then coming HOME to the good ol' US of A!

There is so much helpful info here and the people are great, I think you can go far applying the information you learn from the resources available on BP.I want to further mention there is this lost art of cold calling people to ask questions, and it has been highly effective for me, as I am building the team for my RE investing business.

Two, certain degrees are useful in that they can teach you to think in a structured and systematic way (especially hard sciences and to some extent business/finance programs, I'm sure I'll get slack for this from the soft science/art types out there!)

Think limbo here, and "how low can you go" This is both art and science as too high is not the best deal you could get and too low insults the seller, making him hard with which to negotiate.
