It was actually a lot of fun and I learned a LOT about shell corporations, LLCs that the spouse *thought* were blind or private and overseas accounts.I also found out that there are formal steps that need to happen for attorney/client privilege to exist.

Keep the option to revoke the privilege, and make sure to communicate any and all concerns before signing the contract.

If you screen the right tenants, and by this I mean, get tenants with 3 times rent income, good employment history, good credit, and call on their previous landlords, you will find a tenant that views being in your property as much of a privileged as you feel in them being your tenant.If you can put yourself in your tenants shoes, that is also one step in the right direction.  

I just had the privilege of going through my first tax audit and fortunately came out with a no change.

With that said, people are HEAVILY abusing this privilege.

I'm more asking for Client Privilege reasons.

While I have strategic connections and had the privilege to get a one-on-one meeting with one of the head honchos at the ministry, I'm not important enough (yet) to warrant a one-on-one meeting with the Minister. :)

When people look at who owns the property they will see your attorney's name and the document itself is protected by attorney-client privilege.

It's an ugly sounding word, but in my opinion it is used not to take rights or privileges away from the taxpayer, but rather to simplify the return and take what would have been two redundant returns (the individual's and the entity's) and combine them into one.
