I tend to get at least one applicant ‘fishing’ for discrimination complaints (do you accept section 8, etc).

As stated, I've familiarized myself with different parts of the country for different reasons, (Army, commercial fishing, love of outdoors) and I've been listening to the BP podcast for a while now. 

However, if you enjoy the great outdoors, being able to fish (and eat the fish) in the state capital, consider it.I know too many people that move only for the $ a job pays, but then spend more than the difference trying to be happy. 

(I wish fishing did the same lol.)

The market is a bit nuts up here too.

The market I'm in is nuts -- we have 40% of the supply of last year and 12% appreciation.

I would make it unpleasant for someone that overstayed their welcome.I have been doing this for about 10 years and have never had any cause for concern about someone not leaving when they were supposed to.I have a fishing team staying at the house that are in a tournament.
