- In Michigan you need to have a written contract with your licence number to be a valid contract.

My business partner and I both have our agents licence and it has saved us a ton of money in the last year and half on commission.

I am a Broker in Chicago working with some of your people and my people ( from Romania) :) I had my licence since 2002. 

Don't get me wrong, there's tons of wholesalers that will send you more packets on potential deals than anyone wants to read,  but most appear to have intentionally fictitious numbers.

Finding out later that she don't have rental licence, I decided not to buy because of the condition of the home and refusal to fix dangerous conditions of the home she started asking for an enormous amount of money and refused to return the deposit claiming it was so I could rent the home.

If you have the aptitude there is nothing you can not do yourself except those jobs the state requires a licenced contractor to perform... like replacing a furnace.

I have access to the MLS so I did not see the benefit in going through the course to get licenced.

Austin is no longer issuing type 2 permits, but Type 1 and 3 are still allowed, and I'm arguing that @Andrew Parker's proposal is a way to legally get extra type 1 licences.
