If I am going to sit on a large pile of cash (maybe $100K) for a long time, because, for example, I wrote a book called Set for Life and would find it particularly embarrassing to go BK after writing such a book, I might hold this larger cash position, and spread the risk across multiple currencies to protect against inflation/deflation.

Many have been embarrassed by being duped and losing money on these investments. 

I hid the true extent of my debt from my wife for a long time because I was so embarrassed by it and hoped I could somehow secretly pay it off over time.

wow,  I'd be embarrassed if someone called me and my father out like that in the city where I live or even worse...  

I am new to this and immediately got into the defensive because I felt embarrassed that I don't know any of this instead of taking all of this advice and learn from it.

Jeffrey Hotz I'm not to big of a fan on the "we buy ugly houses" some people may take that insulting or embarrassing but something in that nature I think.

With stocks you're reading 10Ks ALOOOOOT of 10Ks and you might feel embarrassed to admit owning part of because of whatever reason.

It is a painful and embarrassing lesson learned and won't be repeated  or easily forgotten:NEVER  RESPOND IN HASTE OR ANGER!   

I’m happy to elaborate for anyone who actually cares, as I think it is a point of frustration for newer investors in this current market and can manifest itself in other ways, sometimes in ways they may find to be embarrassing in the future when they reread their old BP posts.

I'm almost too embarrassed to ask, because the terminology of the word "sponsor" is so different from what I know it as.
