Look, I want my renters to enjoy a warm pool in the winter months and stay cool in the summer, but these utility bills are eating away at our income....Anyone have any ideas about managing this issue more effectively?

If you're buddy wants to start a business then that may be a cool one to start.

Also, I am able to remotely control the temperature so not unnecessarily heating or cooling the house when nobody will be staying in it.

Someone has been leaving doors unlocked and open, which is not cool since there is storage down there.

I believe most AC beyond 18,000 BTU are 220 volts, but some years back, 110 volt units can still be found.I don't know how cool your AC's keep the units, but when the AC is borderline, it's virtually useless as tenants keep complaining there's something wrong with the unit, or it's too small.
