I think it's far more likely that the weaker ones will die off and/or be consolidated into three or four large/mega platforms.Regarding POL's announcement of getting institutional investment money: here's my thought.

Can I just put the name of the LLC on Schedule E and report consolidated financials or do I have to separate each property out with its own address and own financials?

If you're in the Cook County suburbs (not Chicago), you can get away with running multiple properties through one bank account.No matter where you are, I think it's best to consolidate bank accounts whenever possible.

I do have a re-finance in process, to get a better interest rate and consolidate all debt, leaving me with just a small (under $400/mo) house payment, and freeing-up a good deal of monthly disposable income which could be applied towards purchase of the fixer house.

If you jack up minimum wage it would take their profit way down and they would consolidate employees to save profit margins.I think a lot of this is not for the benefit of the people.
