I have never heard of a deductible that high.Google Insurance Broker Kansas City, MO and let some different brokers quote this for you to find the best price/coverage.For me I just want catastrophic coverage instance the place burns down.

As you acquire assets, you can section them off into LLC's so if you ever have a catastrophic liability event, only a portion of your assets are reachable from that action.

I hate to buy for appreciation only, as then every maintenance issue and catastrophic issue (Collapsed Sewer Line, Air Conditioner, etc.) has to come out from your own pocket and not the investment.

Value added is both societal value and monetary value ... these two concepts are one in the same for a sustainable business and life; it is possible to decouple the two in the short-term, but this will always be short lived and usually ends catastrophically when the universe reunites the two ...I agree that investing, any business, and life for that matter needs to be informed by a deeper philosophy and purpose that goes beyond just chasing greenbacks.
