Could you get enough land with the house that you could set up a yurt or trailer or tent space and market it to tourists as "glamping?" 

In my case it was 250 miles away from primary and we where running it as 2nd home, and the QC risk department said it's not in a tourist area. 

I just moved to Lake Geneva (a tourist town) from Chicago.

We're the last real town before hitting the east gate of Yellowstone and get a ton of tourists in the summer.

I have businesses which cater to tourists and I'll tell you, people who visit think Chicago is a fantastic place.

Solid tourist market most every season and lots of properties to choose from less that $300,000.

It is overrun by tourists for most of the year.

Just curious, if you were looking to purchase a long distance, Buy and Hold, rental property:Would you rather invest in a property closer to a major city or closer to a tourist/vacation/beach area?

The AirBnB idea is something I am considering, only because its minutes from the gulf in Saint Petersburg and a major tourist area.
