@Chinmay J.I feel your pain brother.....I almost had the exact same thing happen to me.

I did learn a little from my brother and my father about real estate and my father was into mostly commercial buying and selling when I graduated from college (with honors) in Business that emphasized real estate. 

My brother in law does work like that up there. 

I lent $ to my brother in the past for his remodeling biz.

It’s not terrible advise if you read into what I meant .Im just telling the fella where the money is all going .hard to save for that next investment when your giving your profit out to everybody and their brother  wouldn’t you agree .I understand your point ,there’s a scale to the management but if you are just getting into RE sometimes self management helps you bring in more cash flow therefore allowing you to add to your portfolio . 

Even if they're growing and understaffed at the moment, they must have a brother/sister/cousin/parent in town they could ask to help out with an open house style showing.

My brother who has brain injury is a 100 percentdisable (not service connected) vet who I was looking to put on the deed of my new house and rent him one of the apartments would we be able to save on the taxes if we did this ??
