Appearantly the landlord lobby is so incredibly weak here in portland they can’t prevent anything unless it gets contested under Oregon state constitutional grounds.

Let's say 10 years in, you get deployed to <insert random combat theater where you have no internet access and limited phone access at best> and you have 30 properties at this point spread across the country.

Airbnb is under attack in many cities but AIRBNB as a company will not assist in any legal battle and often lobby for things that are against a host's best interest.Many realtors support Airbnb.

Just look at the cover of the most recent issue of our trade journal:The California Apartment Association and about a dozen other big lobbying entities also oppose rent control too.

It's the kind of neighborhood we all dream about:  high 'walk score', safe feel, coffee shops, theaters, low crime, high rents, and LOTS of renovations happening on older homes all summer long. 

She's still not on board with an expanding portfolio plan (a year in to the lobbying effort).
