Fairborn has a good selection, and there are some scattered around the nicer suburbs too.It'll really be a question of what price point and neighborhood you want to invest in.Since your son will be at WPAFB, I'd start with Fairborn.

The East side is a bit rougher... but there are a few good patches mixed in, but its scattered into a few specific areas as @Kristofer Schroedermentioned with 10th and 20th markers and the Crime Map would suggest.
