If the inspector found a bedbug, the condo most likely has a bedbug problem.You can ask for pest control reports for the condo - they will tell you the date of the application and what the targeted pests are.You can buy a bedbug trap and check for them yourself.You can contact pest control companies in the area and see what they say it would take to eradicate them.

We are looking to get into the multifamily market and would like to start with a BRRR, not something that needs massive renovations, but definitely a property that will teach us lessons, eradicate our fears and anxieties, and hopefully give us a pretty good ROI.

A few months ago we added a clause that pertains to who is responsible to eradicate bed bugs because we've had a few issues where tenants want us to pay to eradicate them and we contend that we rent the units when they are empty and it is the tenant who brings in the bed bugs and our pest control company wants $350 to $700 to eradicate bed bugs.

I have also done knob and tube abatement, whereby the electrician eradicates all VISIBLE knob and tube in basement and attic, but properly junctions the connections as the knob and tube runs up walls and through ceilings.

If it's in a multi, you have to speak with the condo association and they must inspect every unit, and come up with a comprehensive eradication plan.To get rid of them, you have to get rid of clutter (which I'm sure isn't an issue in an air bnb unit).
