You could improve and seller finance the land to blue collar workers that make decent income.

In NYC trying to compare like properties and eliminating co - op debt, co-ops will sell for 60% to 200% of a comparable condo.  

Keith mentioned co-living, which I couldn't get even after reading about it.  

She may be better off selling the house and getting rental assistance on an apartment or rental house that they can continue to co-habitate in.
