@Tracy Tang @Steve SmithLook up the Fair Credit Reporting Act and other privacy laws.Not aware of a property management company (PMC), that knows what they are doing, that will give you access to a tenant's confidential info, including social security numbers, credit reports, etc. 

I must agree with Hank Wu, that you shouldn't care too much where the money comes from, however if  you know the money is illegal and you don't say anything, you could be legally liable.
