Some of my immigrant tenants keep 5 gallon buckets in the bathroom I think they wash their feet in it or maybe their hind ends .

Put that 20% ($200k) down on a $1m property, increase the value, refi, get your $ back, buy the next one, rinse/wash/repeat.People act like there is only appreciation on the coast.

@Ryan Murdock  I don't know the history, but I'd suspect it's people using their homes as an ATM machine.  

I do this while doing some mindless task like washing dishes (or when the kids are... being kids) and I want to keep "working" but can't use my hands or take notes.

Wash, rinse, repeat.
