I've also tried changing the covenants with my HOA, but we got 14 notarized yes votes, 1 notarized no vote, and I need 65 notarized yes signatures to change the rule to allow HOA to grant a waiver to the covenants.Here's the problem:In the county I live in, the vast majority (I'd say over 85%) of the properties that were built since the 1960s are under some form of covenants that restrict the property to being "only residential," "exclusively residential," or outright prohibiting business activity such as my covenants say.

In our state (Idaho), we have to have a notarized Affidavit of Service every time we do a Pay or Quit.

While I was looking at the Deed - the notarized/ signed one, I noted they list the purchase/ sale price as $21,501 - a difference of $6,000 vs. what I paid.
