I'd be surprised if the hospital isn't paying her something given she was to start in 2 days and they pushed it back a week.I see that you updated things and she's pretty much arriving when you expected her to (within a day or two). 

Utility bills can also be surprisingly below expectations. 

In return for this convenience and my extra work in collections I raised the rent slightly.Example: Current rent then was 1400/month.We agreed to $370/per week.

Of course, if the bathroom adds on extra convenience to your life or is more of a discretionary spend, that's your call.

The house was built in 1913, so I'd be very surprised if there were any new settling.

Personal opinion.. a couple restaurants/bars, a general convenience store, and a CVS/Rite-Aid would make a huge difference to foot traffic and a neighborhood feel. 

I can share dozens of other stories of various real estate related "surprises" and "adventures" that I have been a part of over the last 13 years as I worked to grow my portfolio from that one duplex to just over 160 rental units today, but I think this post is long enough already!

Even the gut job properties are listed and go pending very quickly because there is a lot of money to be made in the region.Albany - There is an area in Albany that is convenient to both numerous hospitals and colleges.

I'm surprised that you can rent out a unit without a stove.
