Books that have helped me are Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Long Distance Real Estate Investing by @David Greene, The ABCs of Real Estate investing and Crushing It by Brian Murray. 

It all started as a hobby of some sort for a little extra cash after reading Robert Kiyosaki's book Rich Dad, Poor Dad.

However, we are also inspired by Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad mindset, which has a different message regarding debt.

This community is such a supportive resource, and the opportunities for education are rich.

One thing I also agree with Grant Cardone on is that you want to be in a market that has some appeal and exposure to the rich, especially the international ultra wealthy. 

The book Rich Dad Poor Dad started us out on this crazy journey and we are very grateful for the amazing eye opening experience!

I’ve been sitting back reading this site for a while and see that several of us (especially on the West Coast) are in the same boat.We’re inspired to pursue Rich Dad’s dream and started by reading books, researching online and reading / listening to Bigger PocketsWe probably have some money, but not the kind that goes very far in Southern CaliforniaWe curious about investing out-of-state but may not know which market to choose or who to trustWe feel a bit overwhelmed about the different options and can’t pinpoint where to startA lot of that sounds like me too!  

I'm also HUGE fan of the some of books that have come to light through BP as well - Miracle Morning, Rich Dad Poor Dad's, & Think and Grow Rich & all the other books we've heard through the podcast that I'm still in the works on.I've come to BP after being in the stock market through various means over the past 6 years.
