Duplexes and triplexes can be prohibitively hard/expensive to get a hold of.

I took a look at the lease, and it specifically prohibits the use of any heating or lighting source other than the gas heating system provided, and the electricity for lighting - no kerosene lamps, no alternate heating system.So I sent the KAPA letter (as advised by our excellent real estate attorney).

It seems that closing costs are too prohibitive. 

The attorney's here in GA charge North of $1700 to handle barment (which I think is outrageous considering how simple it is), so for two properties I'm looking at paying $3400.Now, I know exactly how to do every piece of the barment myself but I'm holding the property in a corporation and the laws in GA prohibit a corporate owner or officer from representing the corporation on legal matters (which is nuts to me!).

Hi @Raymond Mustelier, You’d have to ask the seller If the listing agreement prohibits them from listing it for rent.

My advice would be to consult an attorney with whatever contract you use to ensure that the language does not prohibit you from assignment.
