Hey BP Community,I’m fairly new to the real estate world but would like to jump in and get a head start on building wealth for an early retirement.I’m currently in my early 20’s and I’m interested in house hacking with my partner by the end of the year as a first step in investing.So far this year I have been working on building up my financial literacy and some knowledge on real estate through books and the BP podcasts.

After writing a book on multifamily and then banging my head against the wall for years trying to find apartments that made sense, in frustration, my firm transitioned to start investing in SS and MH parks.

It's like being a novelist and people write a review that they never read the book but don't like the genre (happened to me- better to understand that some people are negative and walk with your head high).

It seems like there are several big engagers I can think of off the top of my head, then there's a consistent middle of the pack (I recognize their names) - these are all quality posters Then there is a slew of people who ask one question, have a few posts and never engage again.

@Jesse Kerr the disconnect, in our opinion, is doing everything yourself and keeping it in your head VERSUS a good PMC having to document everything and communicate it effectively to all parties.As the owner, you can make immediate decisions, saving LOTS of time!

@NormaJean Cupp, I've heard some good excuses also, but no renter asked to be laid-off during a Pandemic that was not even their fault; yet it's still being held over the renter's head as if it were their fault.

With 30 days' notice, he's still moving out 2 weeks early so in some ways that gives you a head start on some of the things you need to do to get it ready for the next tenant.
