When I look at the after photos of the siding where there had previously been a deck, it seems there is some difference in the paint shading.

I have some low end rentals and I have the walls and trim all painted with the same shade and brand of semi gloss white. 

Rate is a shade lower, only a sliver today as these cannot be sold to Fannie Freddie right now.

@Einat Menashe, you can access a crime map by searching address on trulia.com. click on the photo of the house and it opens a new window where you can click on 6 different things including a crime map shaded by colors.

I would suggest a darker shade of granite to prevent any stains.

Then no water flowing off into the Shade side or north facing.Now to get rid of the ice we have used 3 different things. 

Later we would use the same tile in our rentals (for durability) and add darker grout (beige or brown again 🙂) for less staining from resident wear.

If you are in a hot climate they also shade the roof and provide savings to AC costs.  

It's much colder, darker, and dryer.
