The people I listen to in finance suggest that the dollar will still increase in value, and as the AED is tied to the dollar, you will enjoy an upswing if you get in now, but if you are not ready to move quickly and the dollar increase in value before you buy, you only stand to lose in the currency, (as im expecting you are buying in pounds).I have lived in Dubai for almost 4 years now, and I invest in Norway.

Maybe the decline of the dollar won't look so bad measured against the other declining currencies of the world.

Maybe all in the year of the purchase (expenses), maybe spread out over multiple years (capital purchases.)If the C-corp did trading (I assume you mean stocks or currency or some other financial instrument), I'm not sure if they can claim the re-invested money was a deduction or not.

Let them know that as soon as the bank examines the currency and confirms the deposit is valid you will be more than happy to refund their funds.
