The property is in bad shape with roof collapsing in a small spot and animals leaving in it.

A huge expense of old houses is when the drain line that goes to the street gets blocked by tree roots or collapses--they were often made of clay in the early days.

Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately due to the housing collapse in the late 2000's, I never got past the "looking into it" phase.

What if someone leave a tool running overnight or otherwise causes a fire or building collapse during rehab ? 

I worked with one of the largest developers in my city until 2016 when the housing bubble burst and my company ultimately collapsed.

At least not by much any time soon.The 2005-2007 real estate collapse followed immediately by the Great Financial Collapse of 2008-2010 was an unprecedented event. 

Or they might let you know if they are called to any particular place more often, and maybe disclose a collapsed line or a field that is no longer supporting the evaporation necessary for the home. 

Not bad, as I've seen many postings about the next real estate market collapse. 

We dug to the tank and it was a rotted mess, and it actually collapsed a day or two later.
