To me, there's no comparison when it comes to complexity and required involvement between the two.

On my credit report was an apartment complex where I broke the lease but paid all early term fees.

Unit billing can become a bit complex, but will probably pay for itself easily in increased rent you can ask.

If you don't like bookkeeping ( and it sounds like you don't), you're probably going to find QB overly complex.

I'm looking for a complex from about 5-10 units. 

Permitted works costs more than unpermitted work and they will get quotes and be sold by the tradesperson that you do not need to have someone licensed do this, this is easy work and the permit is meant for more complex work....

This approach aids in easier property management and selling, but increases administrative costs and tax complexity.

Even when we were using Beyond Pricing which is a little more user friendly (our software's are a bit complex and bulky as we are managing 65ish units). 

Not only do they align with my long-term ownership goals, but they also offer scalability and the opportunity to own apartment complexes, which deeply resonates with my background and aspirations.
