I am in the VA Beach area, stationed out of Dam Neck would be happy to try and answer any questions you may have or direct you to those local that might.

I keep hearing about networking, but am not able to do that being stationed elsewhere. are there places I can start talking to investors, agents, and Property managers online?

There is a Realtor, business owner in my area that owns a Subway, Shell gas Station, DQ, possibly golf course with homes and many other business' that took on a teenager to manage the Subway because he was like you.

The lot is in a 'good' area of the town, it is easy walking distance to schools, dollar general, grocery store, gas stations, and county offices.  

I work in Boston, so my house search ranges North, South, and West suburbs of the city, placing a premium on homes closer to a commuter rail station. 

How long will you be stationed there?

@Joseph Cacciapaglia I’m not sure yet I believe it’s the main campus I’m stationed in Washington state but I’m from El Paso so I haven’t seen the school yet or the area

But I am talking the surface fleet, if you go aviation or some other community, you have more station options that are sound as well.Just don't spend signing bonuses or your paycheck on an insanely cool car at 21% APR.
