As one of those landlords who give landlords a bad name, I allowed them to remain because we didn't want them to be homeless after their (adult) daughter who was on the lease left them high and dry and their (adult) son wound up on the pills and got arrested.

Sex offenders are clearly not all homeless...

Does that mean you are only home less then 60 days per year? 

They (family of 5 plus 2 dogs and 2 cats) currently moved in with family, so they are not homeless. 

They typically aren't nice places but they are a step above homelessness.

Worst case if it’s illegal and you get caught you could just stop that and wouldn’t be homeless

I assume it's because they know it would lead to exponential rent increases and eventually quadrupling homelessness.  

I have no mentor, which is why I'm here, and I use to be homeless (but everyone has a story).

The local homeless guy walked by and started going through it trying to get the metal out and making a mess, and my drug dealer neighbor grabbed his baseball bat and walked up to the homeless guy and started screaming at him to leave my pile of garbage alone and scared him away.
