I should also add that both of these cabins are full time AirBnB and have one or two locked cabinets mainly for linens, hot tub chemicals and major cleaning supplies.

Flood waters are full of every bad thing you can imagine - bacteria, sewage, farm manure, chemicals, oil...

Using colored towels means you are just covering up stains and not using chemicals to sanitize.

@Tawny Bloom - the pipe clogging issue is a result of soap and oil chemically mixing and sticking to your pipes.  

The best chemical to use is sodium hypochlorite.

(Big Smile) and I did go out of my way to post on the door that "Do to an emergency, irritating chemicals had to be used to clean blood from floors. " You can't enter that place for more than 5 seconds and you are right back out the door.

In other words, just cause "Joe down the road has his own pool and does it all himself" does not make him qualified and will not be accountable if say the chemicals are not right and your guests gets burns or rashes from the chemicals.  

We purchase ours through a local chemical supply house with their name on it. 

I had to replace the floors, spray every chemical I could find on the sub floors and paint every room in the house to remove the awful cat smell.
