I’m looking to purchase a duplex in Charlotte, with one unit being turn-key and the other in need of repairs.

We are purchasing a duplex (just went under contract for it), and she will live in one unit and the other has a long term tenant. 

We are currently renting, and I've been considering house hacking while she is in medical school by purchasing a duplex/multi-family home.

I can't do central AC with no furnace, and wall mounted mini splits will look terrible.

In fact, we just closed a new buyer on a beautiful turn of the century duplex in Duluth allowing him to househack the upper level.
