However, if you have not done a VA loan yet I would caution you on the "fixer upper" with a VA loan as they will require the property to pass an inspection as mentioned above.

I haven’t been looking for that long but I’ve mostly seen $350k and up, and anything on that low side is a serious fixer upper.

Welcome to Bigger Pockets.My wife and I are relatively new real estate investors in Hilo on the Big Island.We bought our first SFH earlier this year, we renovated and then rented it out.We close on our second fixer-upper in Hilo this week.
