So the moral to this story is that as a “passenger on the bus” you incur certain risks that are less likely when you are in full control of your investments like rentals.

Hi Tony,Depending on what the full story is your lender might be able to provide you with a refinance so you have time to finish your rehab or extend your existing mortgage.

Giving something great will inspire investors to provide their contact info.

If you have $3 million to invest it could be a different story.

.- Let's assume the total cost of construction is 200K (or 150K if it's a manufactured/mobile home).My Question would thus be- Can the STR tax loophole strategy allow me to offset 60% of the 200K amount that I paid towards construction of the home, (or 60% of 150K if it's a Manufactured home)Any success stories with this kind of approach?
