The  competition wanted to occupy the property but were put off by the noise and activity from the Section 8 building next door, so I was the only interested buyer in the end.Now I am living in suburban Oak Park and spending a lot of time walking my new Labradoodle, Bonnie.  

I have a large oak tree(60-70 years old) that  is starting to look  diseased and a possibility that it could fall on the home next door.  

It was probably good quality heartwood, but even run of the mill pine or oak that's properly finished is going to last a couple of decades. 

So the trim is throughout the entire house and is a lighter oak color.
