I’ve learned something from all of them because even though one person might be a child psychology expert or an ex military officer Brandon still directs the podcast to some many different realms that there’s tons of things to learn from every guest.

You also have to take market psychology into consideration, which is often out of wack from the fundamental health of a market.

I think there is something psychological about seeing lower initial price and not caring about the add on fees.

Hopefully he will get a decent price, because he has to pay the real estate agent, title company, attorney, recaptured depreciation and other taxes, and mortgage... but there will be blood in the water and he will have no 401k to lean on... so he will be like the thousands of other unfortunate landlords who this year had to unload their houses (if they could)... except they had the the benefit of a pandemic market.I HIGHLY recommend these 2 books:The Psychology of Money - HouselThe Simple Path to Wealth - CollinsThey are very easy reads, very entertaining and you will learn a lot.Personally I think if I went onto Boggleheads and asked 401k or REI?

I don’t know about the psychology of it.

If you have ever heard of the Dunning-Kruger effect, the idea that some mentally-incompetent people are so mentally incompetent that they develop a cognitive bias that no one could possibly be much, much better than them at something, well, the research that led to the discovery of this psychological phenomenon started right there in Swissvale.In 1995, a guy in Swissvale named McArthur Wheeler mused to himself that if lemon juice could be used as invisible ink, well maybe it could make a person invisible to cameras!

Using my psychology degree for how expectations are communicated and like magic things are amazingly good!  

Long story short, my husband worked at Dartmouth, 20 years ago--and I swore to never come back...there were no or very very little hair care products for African Americans in Hanover/Lebanon back then...Anyway, I earned my doctorate in psychology, became a licensed clinical psychologist and yearned for wide open spaces and a place to do my art--I now work for a distance learning institution (work from home) and my husband is back working at Dartmouth.  

Since finishing that and getting a better understanding of some of the psychology behind building wealth, my friend suggested I read The Book on Rental Property Investing by Brandon Turner.
