Typically water and freezing temperatures in unconditioned attics are a BAD combination so our HVAC contractor says to try and avoid putting them in unconditioned attics whenever possible.

If your HVAC unit is powerful enough it sounds like you can achieve climate control without the insulation but your HVAC is going to work harder and longer to achieve the temperature you want.

(I also re-sided the building, and put new insulation board up, which the tenants saw and noted...)I think there are many upsides to electric - tenants feel great getting a rent 'deal' since I keep their rental amounts lower, they totally control their own temperatures, and they can decide which rooms to heat and which to not.

Overall it's recommended to install the cabinets and then the flooring around them, this supposedly allows the floor to expand and contract with temperature changes.If I ever need to change the floor, yes, you would need to unscrew the cabinets, which is not a big deal.
