Tangental note: be sure to know the local laws and regulations on short-term rentals including any "hospitality tax" or "hotel tax" and follow those laws precisely.

I am the senior development analyst for a developer that builds all property types from hotels to student housing etc.  

Knowing its a big inconvenience, I put a POD for them put their stuff in and put them in a hotel for 4 dys while we did the work.I believe in doing the right thing.

My interest is in flipping multifamily, hotels and commercial properties.

Ground-up hotels or really any development project has much more that can go wrong in most instances than a hard money loan on a fully-developed project with a solid borrower.  

I have an Accounting background and worked for 14 years in hotel accounting before moving to Douglasville last year and starting a tax, payroll, and bookkeeping company with an old friend.  

It's like running a hotel and restaurant at the same time and can be overwhelming.

There has been a lot of commercial new builds going on in the city, primarily hotels.

Then again, I spent many years photographing the worlds top hotels for their sales and advertising campaigns.
