I was talking to my carpet cleaner yesterday and learned that the local housing authority has asked him to drop his cleaning fee by $40 per house because they are broke. Then he tells me that the HA owes him $4,000 for cleaning and repairs that he did, billed for, and they haven't paid him yet.He asked around and discovered that they haven't paid any of their venders. They told him that they will pay him now because they took out an $80,000 loan so they can pay off their venders.I know that they are still issuing vouchers because I had 3 brand new Section 8 tenants call me just this week.
