The first thing we noticed is that all of the pictures are darker than normal.

Unfortunately the Freddie Mac Map does not provide the green shaded map which shows you all the low income census tracts at the top of the page. .

@Jerry Padilla provided a link which allows you to search by property address.Personally, i like to use the Fannie map because neighborhoods with no income restriction are shaded with green.  

@Ryan Kelly nor am I throwing shade on Austin. 

No shade to them, I really like their course on training, hiring, and building a great company culture based on VA’s.

The map will start to turn all shades of orange. 

What I've decided to do is gut the front yard down to about 6 inches below the lawn and order 2-3 shades of rocks and do some pattern work plus some artificial turf in the center of each side of the pathway.

A lot depends on where you live, how much roof space you have, if your roof is shaded, how much power you use, what your local utility charges you for electricity, and the prices offered by local solar companies.

Always better to go a little lighter than you want vs darker. 

Bright green muted with white & some grey...followed by a darker grey on the right wall with the same paint muted with white on the opposing wall to match/blend with the vinyl flooring.
