These days it’s hard to evict for non-payment (and we don’t know if they’re going to extend the bans) but evicting a holdover tenant after termination is different.It’s always a good idea if you can try to meet with the tenants after you buy it and get them on your lease, which lets you make any changes like switching to month to month, adding that tenants pay legal fees if you’re successful in an eviction, and anything else you want.Sooner or later you’ll need to use an eviction attorney so it’s also not a bad idea on my opinion to establish a relationship with one before you need them for an eviction.
