One that is comfortable representing a shareholder that has not been paid and is being ignored by the sponsor.

I am in that category.I see this as theft of my private property sponsored by the state.

I felt that his character and my past deal experience with him were the reasons why he would become my mentor/sponsor for my licensing.

My main advice would be to do your due diligence in verifying that your partner(s) and/or the sponsor is trustworthy & transparent, and that you feel confident in their contingencies, and also that they have a track record in getting their investors their money in a timely, professional fashion. 

I paid $1,500 bucks to attend a three days seminar over the summer of 2019, but they wanted 40,000 grand to team up with a sponsor and learn from someone in the business already ( I don't have 40 Grand laying around, just yet).
