People who sit around waiting for another raise, and when they get it, they start dreaming of what they can buy (literally ran a study the day after raises were announced and you would be amazed how many monitors had new cars, new houses, new purses, new computers, new toys on them...everyone wanted to blow the money they just got before even recieveing it)Everyone has a different "financial problem" although the problem is simple, they all spend too much money on un needed stuffAll of these people are Destined to be W-2 workers the rest of their lives, because they car they drive is a direct necessity to their overall imageThe moral of the (probably poorly told) story is, if you want to be an investor, then you have to think like one.

I also have a masters from CMU in Architecture-Engineering-Construction Management so I've got a hold on scheduling, paying subcontractors, and knowing when they're lying to me :)I currently work out of Chicago (and plan on being here for the long haul) as an engineer/project manager for a large national commercial general contractor and I love what I do but want to expand to do my own thing on the residential side in the short term, with long term aspirations of doing commercial development of my own.

You can cherry pick time periods where appreciation is about the same, but no way, no how, is the appreciation about the same or even the same ball park over the long haul (which is the time frame that a B&H investor should care about).
