Using this as a springboard, I'm eager to build a one of a kind destination property with many of the amenities you'd find in a luxury resort.

I think in big destination areas where week long rentals are the norm the larger homes have a better chance because most of those bookings are made several months in advance.I have a friend involved with property management in the Outer Banks in your neck of the woods, and am blown away that 10-15 bedroom beach front properties book up for the summer consistently.

So once you climb over the HVAC equipment, and crawl through an old building-wide vacuum unit, you have reached your destination.

AZ has all kinds of people moving here from California and is the #2 retirement destination in the US for Baby Boomers. #4 in both population growth and job creation.

Florida is also a vacation destination, so anywhere within 2 miles of a beach/coast, you can figure that it's likely suited for short term rentals.

couple thingsYou need to learn stuff about the career you want....if you need the structure of school to force yourself to do the work then goIf you like learning on your own and your disciplined in your approach its not necessary.Either way you need to learn the material....you pick your poisonThink of a degree as a ticket to a destination( usually a specific job)....dont buy the ticket if you dont want the destination

I am curious to know if it is wiser to buy a home to rent out to tenants or to buy a home in a good destination to rent out on Airbnb. ? 

Big part of that reason is California is a crazy state that's exporting their middle class like crazy for affordable housing, and we're the #2 retirement destination in the US second only to Florida.
