I think there's room for compromise, but I also wouldn't say you were wrong to increase the rent to market rate if that was your decision.NOTE: I am not a lawyer and not familiar with the landlord/tenant laws in New Hampshire.

@Gonz Trevino I agree with you, stick to you numbers, don't compromise, and be patient.But I have to ask, if your mortgage payment is 1150, then your taxes must be somewhere between 550 - 650 a month.
