I even had spotlights installed to try to prevent...fake cameras...he still broke the lease and found something else.Essentially, I learned some major lessons...and reflecting back on it...even though I had to dip into reserves...I may have held on to it longer if I wasn't servicing debt on it...and, in this case, I don't know if that would have been a wise move either.

I'm only one of a few hundred still alive who do what I do ("legacy" systems - OpenVMS).Also was a liturgical musician for 40+ years, amateur musician, did HVAC back in the chlorinated halo-carbon days, did pro-audio, ran a recording studio briefly (I was otherwise out of work most of 1985), have done community college telecourse broadcasting, TV production (camera, audio, editing), low-voltage wiring systems. 50+ years experience public speaking including business presentations, international technical symposia and liturgical settings.

If the seller constructed the units on your property, then I assume some sort of building plans would have to have been submitted to the appropriate authorities in the city, and in that case you should try to examine the building plans to see if the plans for connecting the sanitary waste were followed.One investor I know is considering adding video camera inspection of sewer lines to his normal routine pre-purchase inspections, so that he can identify in advance a big ticket problem for just a few hundred dollars up front.

I would look at running a camera down the drain line to see if there is anything to be concerned about before jumping into major repairs.
