One thing the LPs did mention is that it the experience felt impersonal and they were looking for more of an open dialogue with their deal sponsors (i've heard this type of feedback from investors who switch from crowdfunding sites).

This may be an extra layer of fees and overall hassle you don't want to deal with, especially if there is no difference from a legal liability perspective.On the other hand, some states, like CA and PA charge fees based on gross receipts or asset values to LLCs but not to Limited Partnerships (LPs).

There are a lot of companies around the nation that source property, demographic, bankruptcy, foreclosure and other data, like The Warren Group, LPS/Black Knight, Experian, Equifax, Axciom, First American, and COUNTLESS others including many smaller regional specialists that have built specific areas of expertise, and which offer great services at various price points, and with various areas of focus.Do companies buy from each other rather than do it all themselves when it is cost effective, and the data is usable - you bet.
