Eta: the govt is going to be the lender/payer of last resort - my guess is that all those that make snarky "comrade" comments will have no problem eating at the emergency fund trough - or, maybe you will be sending your cash the govt is sending back?

I would make this last resort and with a 30% pay cut seems there is probably a way to figure out how to make it without an IRA withdrawal.
