She brings in a fraction what I do so I'm almost positive the banks will count her debt mine and make me count her also as a dependent. :( I did the math last night cause my goal is to buy my first home this year.

You'll end up with a fraction of something (likely being the smallest creditor and not be in a position of power) ... or a whole piece of something you may have trouble liquidating.

Since I would be increasing both (big box, suppliers, my) volume of sales, to offset at a fraction of my cost, in building more sales for them, in other words they would see a profit in several ways.

In my opinion, what makes MFHs more attractive over SFHs is the fractional rent/unit vs. price/unit.For example, in my area you can buy a 4-unit (2br/1ba each) for about $140K ($35K/unit).

Although solar is a way to provide backup/stand alone power for some people (a very small fraction of people living off the grid), grid-connected PV is not usually about providing backup power (although it can be if someone chooses).
